Trail granted release to transfer

Junior quarterback Ross Trail has been granted release to transfer by Luke Fickell. Trail battled injuries last year that set him back, but saw solid playing time as a redshirt freshman.

I’ve personally always have been very high on Trail’s skills every year it seemed like he was improving every season. It is probably some YouTube video out there with me on it giving Trail praise. He was highly recruited when the Bearcats landed him hopefully he got a good  shot at the next school.

Quarterback Ross Trail (Wynne, Ark./Wynne) has requested and been granted his release from the University of Cincinnati football program, Head Coach Luke Fickell announced Friday.

Trail, a junior-to-be, played in six career games at UC with two starts, throwing a TD and rushing for another. He led UC to a home win over Miami (OH) in 2016, his first career start.

“We appreciate Ross’ hard work and effort during his time as a Bearcat and wish him nothing but the best moving forward,” Fickell said.

Managing Editor of Bearcat Insider, I've been on the BCI team the last couple of years. I made the final four in the Biggest Big East Fan contest in 2011, I covered UC also on Cincy on the Prowl. I'm just a lefty trying to get buckets in this game called life Van Exel style.
