Spreading Senior Day love to Kyle Washington

Like his low post buddy (Gary Clark)  Sunday will be the last home game senior Kyle Washington will play for the Bearcats. Washington arrived on campus three years ago after transferring from North Carolina State.

I remember seeing the versatile big man play in a scrimmage and I knew he would have an impact for the Bearcats. He is left handed and can score from everywhere on the floor via post game, face up, off the dribble or behind the arc. Sometimes he can take a shot too quick or out of rhythm, but when he is a groove is dang near an automatic bucket.

During his time in Cincinnati he has averaged 12.1 points per game and 6.1 rebounds, he has improved a lot on the defensive end. He is very intense on the floor, but a great interview off of the floor. Washington is also my son’s favorite player on this years team (he loves scorers).

Like his low post partner he has scored over 1,000 points during his college career which is a great accomplishment. #BearcatNation needs to show Washington some love because after Sunday he won’t wear the black and red for the home crowd anymore. I know we are attached to Clark because has been here for four years, but Washington and his contributions to this program shouldn’t be overlooked.

Managing Editor of Bearcat Insider, I've been on the BCI team the last couple of years. I made the final four in the Biggest Big East Fan contest in 2011, I covered UC also on Cincy on the Prowl. I'm just a lefty trying to get buckets in this game called life Van Exel style.
