No. 9 Cincinnati smack Temple around  75-42, streak now 11

The Cincinnati Bearcats came into the game riding a 10 game winning streak and ranked No. 9 in the AP Poll. On the other side of the court was the Temple Owls the Bearcats stole a win earlier this month in Philadelphia 55-53. They currently have a 37 game home winning streak and the last team to beat them at home was the Owls.

In the first half the game started off as a usual rock fight as it was tied at 13 with 10:47 left in the first half, but the Bearcats when on a 22-6 run to go into halftime with a lead up 16 (35-19). In the first half the star of the show was sophomore guard Jarron Cumberland who lead all scorers with 11 points (finished with 13) on 4 of 6 from the field (1 of 3 from three) and 2 of 2 from the line. He was followed by Gary Clark who had seven points and seven rebounds (one rebound away from joining the 1k points/1k rebounds club).

In the second half the Bearcats pushed the tempo against the grind it out Owls to make the game very comfortable something that #BearcatNation isn’t use to against the Owls. The second half was pretty much the Clark show as he joined the 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds club and finished the game with another double double (17 points and 10 rebounds).

The Bearcats won 75-42 not allowing a single Owls’ player to reach double digits. They are now 18-2 overall and 7-0 in the AAC. They play Memphis on Saturday.

Managing Editor of Bearcat Insider, I've been on the BCI team the last couple of years. I made the final four in the Biggest Big East Fan contest in 2011, I covered UC also on Cincy on the Prowl. I'm just a lefty trying to get buckets in this game called life Van Exel style.
