Jarell White Not Afraid To Say It – UC Is A Big Program
Having made the decision to say no to Power Five football programs and show his loyalty to his hometown college has Jarell White as a University of Cincinnati fan favorite before playing in a single game.
White, who played his high school ball in the Greater Catholic League at LaSalle High School, is no stranger to success having played key roles during the Lancers three consecutive state championships.
Now, White looks to bring the same type of success to the Bearcats football program as he totally bought in to what Luke Fickell was selling the minute he took over the program.
While some prior Bearcat coaches have enjoyed success in keeping local talent home. White brings with him the respect of being considered a highly ranked prep prospect not an under the radar unknown.
As a Lancer, White played on both sides of the ball and was extremely successful. While his days as a Bearcat will be spent as a linebacker, Fickell has already told the media he expects White to be on the field in some capacity this season.
Bearcat Insider spoke with White, a young man we’ve followed since his sophomore year at LaSalle as he talks about staying home and the excitement being shown by his family and friends since the day he announced he was heading to Clifton.
