Home dates for Buckeyes, Musketeers and Bruins set
The new Fifth Third Arena will have three fire games during non-conference with Ohio State being the opener, Xavier and UCLA being December treats.
Playing Ohio State will be a nice super early measuring stick considering how good the Buckeyes were last season. Xavier is always a battle Chris Mack or not and UCLA will be seeking revenge after how Cincinnati treated them last season.
Three home dates for the 2018-19 University of Cincinnati men’s basketball schedule have been announced.
The Bearcats will tip off the 2018-19 campaign by reopening newly renovated Fifth Third Arena against Ohio State on Nov. 7. The in-state rivals announced a home-and-home series in October 2017. This year’s meeting will mark the first in Cincinnati since 1920.
The annual Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout against Xavier will take place on Dec. 8. It marks the 86th edition of the series between city rivals.
UCLA visits Fifth Third Arena on Dec. 19 for the second game of a home-and home series. The Bearcats recorded a 77-63 win at the Bruins’ Pauley Pavilion last season.
Additional opponents as well as television and tip-time information will be announced at a later date.
