Gino Guidugli Happy to be Home
His hair is now peppered with grey, but his smile and enthusiasm for the game is the same as it was when he was wearing the Red & Black of his alma mater.
Gino Guidugli is back home at the University of Cincinnati after a journey that saw the former Fort Thomas (KY.) native take him from the Arena and Canadian Football Leagues to the ranks of a college coach.
Guidugli’s days as a Bearcat earned him a spot in Nippert Stadium’s Ring of Honor in 2005 along with being inducted into the James P. Kelly Sr. UC Athletics Hall of Fame in 2013.
Many feel the former Bearcat is on the fast track of college coaching with the success he enjoyed at Central Michigan and being part of Luke Fickell’s first staff at Cincinnati as running back coach.
Bearcat Insider spoke with Guidugli following a recent practice about the changes on campus and being back where his college career started.
