Former Louisville receiver JaQuay Savage transfers to Cincinnati

Grad transfer Savage travels up I-71 North to Cincy

Former Texas A&M and Louisville wide receiver JaQuay Savage is now a member of the Cincinnati Bearcats. The former 4-star recruit is eligible to play immediately per graduate transfer rule. Word around campus is Savage is already with the team. I haven’t seen with my own eyes because I haven’t been able to make a practice this week, but I’m pretty sure I’ll see Savage live soon.

Savage is 6’3” and weighs around 215 pounds, he didn’t play much at Louisville, but if he can tap into his 4-star rated talent and pick up the Bearcats play book pretty fast over the coming weeks he may be able to make an impact. Overall the receiving core is pretty young so he will get an opportunity if he plays well when he gets his reps.

Hopefully he can turn it around in Cincinnati, you can never have enough weapons on offense and after watching Cincinnati’s offense last year, I’m pretty sure the new staff has welcomed him with open arms.

Managing Editor of Bearcat Insider, I've been on the BCI team the last couple of years. I made the final four in the Biggest Big East Fan contest in 2011, I covered UC also on Cincy on the Prowl. I'm just a lefty trying to get buckets in this game called life Van Exel style.
