Cayman Islands Classic: No. 12 UC thrashes Richmond 75-48

The Cincinnati Bearcats played the Richmond Spiders in the Cayman Islands Classic the winner would go to the championship game. The Bearcats jumped out on the Spiders from tip off and as much of a grind the Buffalo game was this was the total opposite. They took a 40-14 lead into the half and won 75-48.

Everyone played last night, Cronin tinkered with the lineup starting Justin Jenifer and Nysier Brooks besides Cane Broome and Kyle Washington. The Bearcats shot 54.3 percent from the field and 54.2 percent from three. They passed the ball better also with 20 assists on 25 made baskets. Also, they were plus 13 in the rebound category 35-22.

Cane Broom was the leading scorer with 13 points and Jacob Evans had 12 points. Gary Clark had a good all around game with eight points, eight rebounds and seven assists. Shoutout to the walk-ons getting on the board Jackson Bart scored three points and Sam Martin scored two points from the line.

Cincinnati is now 5-0 and they play in the championship game tonight against Wyoming at 7:30.
