Bearcats Will Practice In Pit

From the first day on the job as the head coach of the University of Cincinnati football program, Luke Fickell stressed his desire to connect with local high school programs.

This spring, Fickell will take the Bearcats to one of the more famous high school stadiums in the country when the Bearcats will practice inside The Pit at Elder High School on Saturday, April 1 at 10 a.m. ET.

The practice will be open to the public and will count towards one of the Bearcats 15 NCAA-allotted spring workouts.

In a press release Coach Fickell said the following about the move.

“We are excited to get out in the local community,” said Fickell.  “It’s important for our program to reach beyond the boundaries of campus and be able to meet our fans on their turf.  The Pit is one of the great venues in Cincinnati’s tradition-rich prep football scene.  I can’t wait to see a packed house on April 1.”
