Bearcats Looking Straight Forward

Scott Reed / Bearcat Insider

An unusual three game road stretch ended Saturday when the Cincinnati Bearcats fell to Navy 42-32.

Returning to Nippert Stadium is a welcomed site for Bearcats head coach Luke Fickell and his staff as they’ll welcome a 2-1 Marshall team coming off a 21-0 victory over Kent State.

Thundering Herd will be looking for their first road victory of the season when they arrive at Nippert Stadium for Saturday nights 7:00 p.m. kickoff.  Doc Holidays squad has lost eight straight on the road and hope to see quarterback Chase Litton stay hot as Litton is hitting on just under 60% of his throws for 781 yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions.

Main targets are Tyre Brady, Marcell Williams and Willie Johnson while the Hurd will look to Keion Davis on the ground to keep the Bearcats defense honest.

This could be a week the Bearcats offense show some more life as the Herd are allowing 21 points and 391 yards per contest.

Fickell spoke during this week’s American Athletic Conference coaches conference call and you can hear his comments by clicking the video below.
