2017 Spring Game Details

Press Release from the University of Cincinnati on the details of this springs annual spring game.

CINCINNATI – The annual University of Cincinnati football spring game will take place on Friday, April 14, 2017 at 7 p.m. under the lights of historic Nippert Stadium.

Admission is free for all fans. Parking will available for $5 per car in Corry and Calhoun Garages.

Participating sponsors for the 2017 spring football game include: NISSAN, Hearing Solutions, Mr. Roof, Megabus, Amazon, Noodles & Company and Two Men & A Truck.

A number of activities are scheduled around the game, starting with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. ET.

A fish fry will take place between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. at Stadium View Café underneath the video board. Fried cod sandwiches will be on sale for $5. For $7, patrons can get a sandwich, cole slaw and a side. Sides will consist of fresh-cut potato chips, mac-n-cheese and green beans. Extra sides cost $1 apiece and cookies will be on sale for $2.

Local band Brother Smith, presented by Pepsi, will be playing on Bearcats Plaza adjacent to the West Pavilion and Tangeman University Center from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and again during halftime. Inflatables for kids of all ages will be on McMicken Commons.

Pepsi will again sponsor the Bearcats Music Festival at the Grid on Sigma Sigma Commons in 2017. Additional details will be released this summer.

A Rhinegeist Beer Garden will be set up at Stadium View and Bearcats Plaza. The UC marching band will be in attendance and playing from the Bearcat Lair in the north end zone. The Bearcat mascot, cheer and dance teams will also be on hand.

Season ticket holders who renewed by March 31 are eligible to watch the spring game from the third floor of the West Pavilion. Eligible patrons will receive an email with instructions. To take advantage of this first-come, first served option, you must RSVP with the athletics ticket office. On gameday, the club level will open at 6 p.m. ET. Concessions and beverages will be available for purchase.

The first 200 students who purchase or already have renewed their 2017 season ticket will receive a wristband and have access to watch the game from the on-field notches in the southwest and southeast corners. Staff from the athletics ticket office will be positioned on the concourse behind the student section in the south end zone for students who want to make their purchase on site.

Student season tickets guarantee a seat for every game for just $70. Also included in the purchase is a limited edition Under Armour t-shirt which will only be available for student season ticket holders. Guest season tickets are priced at $140 with a limit of two per account. Shirts will be available for pickup at the spring game.

Football Family Plan tickets, a new option in 2017 for families in section 202, will be on sale. Patrons interested in this option can view and select their seats on April 14. Tickets in this area are priced at $99 for adults and $75 for children (ages 4-high school). Orders must consist of at least one adult and one youth ticket and limited to six tickets per account, two adults and four youth tickets.

UC will play host to Austin Peay on Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017 to open up the 2017 campaign in Nippert Stadium.
Kickoff times and television designations for the first three weeks of the season will be made final in June, while the rest of the Bearcats schedule will fall under the customary 12- and six-day TV window selection process.
